The Rate Gap provides a freelance rate benchmarking tool and personalized diagnostic reports. The free rate check provides estimated market rate ranges. The paid diagnostic ($79) provides a personalized positioning analysis, ideal client profile, and action plan. The bundle ($199) adds the Client Acquisition Playbook.
The diagnostic is a one-time digital product delivered via email and our website. It is generated through an automated content system based on the information you provide. The output is personalized to your inputs but is based on market estimates, not live salary data. See the Disclaimer page for important limitations.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all purchases. If you're not satisfied with your diagnostic for any reason, email refunds@therategap.com within 30 days of purchase with your order email, and we'll issue a full refund. No questions asked. Refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear within 5-10 business days.
You agree not to: use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or bulk-access the free rate check; submit false or intentionally misleading data; attempt to reverse-engineer the diagnostic algorithm; redistribute, resell, or republish diagnostic reports or playbook content; use the Service for any illegal purpose.
We reserve the right to block access to users who violate these terms, including IP-based rate limiting for excessive automated use.
The diagnostic output generated for you is yours to use personally and professionally (e.g., updating your LinkedIn, portfolio, or proposals based on the recommendations). However, the Client Acquisition Playbook, the diagnostic templates, the system prompts, and the Rate Index data remain the intellectual property of The Rate Gap. You may not redistribute or resell the Playbook or diagnostic content.
The Rate Gap provides information and recommendations, not guarantees. We are not responsible for any business decisions you make based on our diagnostic output. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service. See the Disclaimer page for additional limitations.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
