Refund Policy

If you're not satisfied with your diagnostic or playbook, email us within 7 days of purchase at support@therategap.com and we'll issue a full refund. No forms, no questions.
Why 7 Days?
Our products are digital and delivered instantly. Seven days gives you enough time to read your diagnostic, review the recommendations, and determine whether the insights are valuable to your freelance business. After that, we assume the information has been consumed and acted upon.
What's Covered
Our 7-day refund policy applies to both products:
- Full Diagnostic ($79) — The personalized rate benchmark, positioning rewrite, ideal client profile, rate conversation scripts, and 30-day upmarket plan.
- Diagnostic + Playbook Bundle ($199) — Everything in the diagnostic, plus the personalized Client Acquisition Playbook.
How to Request a Refund
Email support@therategap.com within 7 days of your purchase with:
- The email address you used at checkout
- A brief note on why the product didn't work for you (optional, but helps us improve)
We'll process the refund within 2 business days. The refund will be issued back to your original payment method and typically appears in your account within 5-10 business days, depending on your bank.
What's Not Covered
To keep our pricing low and sustainable, we can't issue refunds in the following cases:
- Requests made more than 7 days after purchase
- Charges from payment disputes or chargebacks initiated without contacting us first
- Duplicate purchases where the first purchase was successfully delivered (we'll happily refund the duplicate)
Chargebacks
If you have an issue with your purchase, please contact us first. Filing a chargeback before requesting a refund creates unnecessary fees and delays. We respond to all legitimate refund requests within 2 business days and process them quickly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will apply to purchases made after the updated date at the top of this page. Purchases made under a previous version of this policy will continue to be honored under that version's terms.
